The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation (HPNF) provides scholarships to nurses nationwide to cover the cost certification fees and are valid for those earning a new Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center (HPCC) certification or those who are renewing their current HPCC certification. Individuals can apply for the scholarships before or after taking the exam.

In 2024, HPNF will provide 25 scholarships to nurses nationwide to cover the cost of certification fees for those earning or renewing the following Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center (HPCC) certifications: ACHPN, CHPN, CHPPN, CHPLN CHPNA, CHPCA, CPLC, or APHSW-C since January 1, 2024, or plan to before December 31, 2024. Individuals can apply for a scholarship before or after taking the exam. 

 
Eligibility:

• If you earned or recertified, or plan to earn or recertify, your ACHPN, CHPN, CHPPN, CHPLN, CHPNA, or APHSW-C credential in the 2024 calendar year.
• If you recertified or plan to recertify your CHPCA or CPLC credential in the 2024 calendar year. (Please note that these two credentials are only available for recertification and not initial certification)
• Personally pay for the exam or HPAR fee

Please note: Individuals who have been reimbursed for their certification/recertification fees by any other institution or organization are not eligible for this scholarship.
